Print Sales FAQ
Are
all photographs on the site available for purchase?
Not all photos are available for sale. The site's primary function is
an exhibition of my photography. Please contact me to find out if the
photograph you require is available
What print sizes are available?
Two sizes are available. 10 x 8 inch and 16 x 12 inch. Prints are normally
mounted on to white or black archival mounting board. Prints can be supplied
unmounted if required.
Some of the images on the web site are toned. Are the sale prints
supplied with the same toning?
Some images have been tinted with the computer, and not every displayed
image can be supplied with the displayed tint.
How are the prints shipped / posted?
All prints are carefully wrapped in tissue paper and sealed between two
pieces of stiff card. This is then placed between another two sheets of
card for extra protection. Shipping time take about ten days for international
destinations, and about four days within the UK after payment has cleared.
The price quoted includes delivery and insurance.
What are limited edition prints?
Most prints are supplied as limited edition prints. Usually the print
run will be 100 prints. Once this has been achieved, no more of the particular
print will be made. Limited edition prints are supplied with a certificate
qualifying the edition and the number within the edition. All prints are
signed.
How can I pay for the prints?
There are two ways you can pay. Firstly and preferably you can pay in
your local currency at your local Western Union branch. This is the fastest
and safest method I have found. Secondly you can post an International
Money Order. The order takes about four weeks to clear, but sometimes
they can take up to eight weeks. Prints will not be shipped until funds
have cleared into my bank account.
What materials are the prints made on?
All prints are made on silver gelatine fibre based paper. I use a several
different types of paper, but most prints will be made on Ilford Multigrade
IV medium weight glossy paper. Prints are usually double fixed and if
not colour tinted, then selenium toned. Under special circumstances prints
can be supplied on resin coated paper.
Neither monoart, Steven Gosling, or any other photographer exhibited on
this web site can be responsible for delayed or non-delivery due to customs
seizure.
